I chose to use the orchestra pit as a magical moment symbolize the death of the suitors. Photo by John Flak

Shadows and silhouettes were used throughout the production.
For the Underworld I chose to letterbox the stage by bringing a full stage black to almost the head height.
I chose to use the orchestra pit to create a void between Penelope and Odysseus at their reunion. As they finally accepted each other the pit raised back up and met them and allow for a beautiful reunion.
